Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship

  • Applicant must be the parent, child, sibling or grandchild of a Ferris Alumna(us), and have a 2.75 GPA.
  • Must also have successfully completed a minimum of 24 earned credit hours at Ferris State University.
  • Please note the following: students seeking an associate degree must have completed 24 credit hours at the end of spring semester; students seeking a bachelor’s degree must have completed 56 credit hours at the end of the spring semester.
  • To be considered for the scholarship, award winners must attend a luncheon in their honor with the Alumni Board of Directors in Big Rapids.

  6. Submit a letter from the Ferris Alumna (us), child, parent, sibling or grandparent, explaining their relationship to you, their approximate graduation date, and describing the effect their educational experiences at Ferris had on their life or professional career.
  7. Please tell the committee what extra-curricular activities and any office(s) you have held while a student at Ferris State University (including employment). Please describe all involvement and if you had a leadership position within the organization.
  8. Recommendation: Please request a recommendation from a Ferris faculty or staff member. You should notify this individual to expect an email regarding this request. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure the recommendation is submitted by the scholarship deadline.
