Barton Malow Foundation Scholarship

The Barton Malow Foundation Scholarship was established to support students pursuing an undergraduate degree in the College of Engineering Technology at Ferris State University.

• Applicants will be an undergraduate student enrolled in one of the following programs in the College of Engineering Technology at Ferris State University:

o Building Construction Technology (AAS); OR o Civil Engineering Technology (AAS); OR o Construction Management (BS)

• Applicants will be enrolled full-time during the semester or aid year in which they receive the award. Students in their final semester of study are eligible to receive the award with an enrollment status of half-time or greater.

• Applicants will demonstrate a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 at the time of application.

• Applicants will demonstrate active campus participation through:

o Participation in a construction-related registered student organization, with priority given to RSOs operating within the Construction Technology and Management programs. o Holding a position of responsibility within a construction-related RSO or participation in an intercollegiate sport.

• Applicants will demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. Consideration for need-based awards requires the completion of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

• The award is renewable for a maximum of three (3) times following the initial award, with preference given to current recipients, though recipients must reapply each year to receive the award.
