Alro Steel Endowed Scholarship

The Alro Steel Endowed Scholarship was established to support students pursuing an undergraduate degree in the College of Engineering Technology at Ferris State University.

• Applicants will demonstrate a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 at the time of application.

• All undergraduate students, including incoming freshmen, current or transfer students are eligible to receive the award. Incoming freshman will provide a cumulative GPA through their official high school transcripts.

• Applicants will be enrolled full-time during the semester or aid year in which they receive the award. Students in their final semester of study may are eligible to receive the award with an enrollment status of half-time or greater.

• Applicants will be an undergraduate student enrolled in College of Engineering Technology’s School of Design and Manufacturing including CAD Drafting & Tool Design, Industrial Technology & Management, Manufacturing Engineering Technology & Manufacturing Technology, Plastics Engineering Technology, Rubber Engineering Technology, and Welding Engineering Technology.

• Applicants will demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. Consideration for need-based awards requires the completion of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

• Recipients that continue to meet the required criteria may reapply to receive the award in subsequent years.

• Preference will be given to applicants from Jackson County, Michigan.
