Malik Kingsby Endowed Scholarship
Malik Kingsby was a student staffer of the Ferris State University LGBTQ+ Resource Center and Williams Auditorium, the president of the Art History Club, and a member of Psi Sigma Kappa. His legacy includes warmth and inclusion of all students in every space he entered, service to QTBIPOC students, and campus-wide education about Two Spirit, same gender loving, and LGBTQ+ people of color. The Malik Kingsby Scholarship is intended to provide opportunity to students who experience inequity or barriers to education because of racism and heterosexism (homophobia) and/or cissexism (transphobia).
Student applicants:

- Will this scholarship help you achieve your goals or support your well-being?
- Please tell the scholarship committee in a sentence or two whether these criteria apply to you.
Applications will be shared only with faculty/staff scholarship committee members, led by the LGBTQ+ Resource Center. Your application information is considered protected under FERPA. Recipients of this scholarship will not be required to send thank you notes to the donors with their name attached.
